I began my apprenticeship in 2010, and the trades have become my path in life. As I continue to grow my business, I love to look back on the spaces I've helped transform. Deep satisfaction exists in seeing something tangible, beautiful and enduring manifest out of what was once an idea. As a business owner, I feel humbled by the ability to work with people on their homes and am driven to provide the best possible working environment for the painters who join us. In my personal life, I enjoy growing food, reading, bowhunting, building things and helping others along their own paths toward realizing ideals. I am married to a fantastic woman (who is also a small business owner), and we are raising our children to be self-sufficient, responsible and wise as best we can. Our current family project has been working to develop a small orchard and series of gardens on a piece of land we love.
Ginny plays a key role in the day-to-day function and overall vitality of Apollo Painting. As a former Executive Director of a Subcontractor networking and advocacy association, she brings years of office, bookkeeping and analytic experience to the mix. She was on the ground floor of developing GradeBeam, an online bid communication system for General Contractors to use to send out bid packages and is thrilled to be a part of the Apollo Painting Team.
Ginny is the sixth child of Jack & Lorraine O'Brien, (Morton Grove, IL), and a US Army Veteran. She has three children and three grandchildren, and enjoys painting, reading, and collecting Pez and monster models. You can often find her outside in her garden.
